1. Can seborrheic dermatitis be prevented and cured?
There is no known way to prevent seborrheic dermatitis. However, it can be effectively treated and controlled with Capex® Shampoo. Consult your physician before beginning treatment.

2. Who should use Capex® Shampoo?
Patients suffering from symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis. Symptoms may include flaking, white scales over inflamed, reddish patches on the skin. Consult your physician for proper diagnosis prior to using this product.

3. Who should not use Capex® Shampoo?
Do not use this drug if you have a history of allergic reaction to any of the ingredients listed. The ingredients are listed on the bottle, the box, and in the product insert. Check with your physician prior to using Capex® Shampoo if you:
  • are pregnant
  • are nursing
  • are under the age of 12

4. What are the possible side effects of Capex® Shampoo?
The following are some local reactions reported infrequently with topical steroids: inflammation, burning, itching and irritation. For more information, read the product insert.

5. How soon can I expect improvement of my condition?
Itching: In clinical studies, 84 percent of patients showed a significant amount of clearing during a two-week period of time. However, individual results may vary.

Flaking: 76 percent of patients experienced a significant amount of clearing within a two-week period of time. However, individual results may vary.

6. After achieving my desired level of improvement, how can I maintain that level?
Once your symptoms (itching and flaking) have subsided, one treatment per week is usually sufficient to keep the itching and flaking from returning. Consult your physician for proper treatment regimen.

7. How should Capex® Shampoo be stored?
Store at controlled room temperature, between 15° and 30° C (59° and 86° F), in a tightly closed container. Contact your doctor or pharmacist for more information.
